Twitter is one of the very best social media in the world, it is an American online news and social networking service on which users post and interact with messages known as "tweets". with over 320 million users. It servers as a means of communication and information source.

Tweets were originally restricted to 140 characters, but on November 7, 2017, this limit was doubled to 280 for all languages except Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Registered users can post, like, and retweet tweets, but unregistered users can only read them.

Twitter can be access through its website interface, through Short Message Service (SMS) or its mobile-device application software ("app").

How to create a Twitter account

  1. Open your browser (Chrome)

  4. If you choose to sign up with an email address, twitter will require you to verify your email address by sending you an email with instructions.
  5. If you choose to sign up with a phone number, twitter will require you to verify by sending you an SMS text message with a code. You may also request a voice call to verify your phone number. Enter the verification code in the verification box provided.
  6. Once you sign up for an account, you can select a username (usernames are unique identifiers on Twitter).

  • Follow some people (Following means you'll get that user's Tweets on your Twitter home timeline. You can unfollow anyone at any time.)

Picking a Username

Your username is the name your followers use when sending replies, mentions, and Direct Messages. It will also form the URL of your Twitter profile page. Twitter will provide a few available suggestions when you sign up, but you can choose a preferable username on your own.

Note: You can change your username in your account settings at any time, as long as the new username you want to use (change to) is not already in use. Usernames must be fewer than 15 characters in length and cannot contain "admin" or "Twitter", in order to avoid brand confusion.

  • # Hashtag: Adding a Hash sign before important Keyword in your Tweet message, will help your tweet to be discovered better in the search and it also appear as a click able link
